"Good articles, but the paywall is frustrating"
I’ve used this site for a while and I do like their science coverage, which is why I keep coming back. But lately it feels like every time I click on something that looks interesting, I hit the paywall. I get that good journalism costs money, and part of me wants to support them, but it gets annoying fast when so much is locked. I just wish they offered a few more free reads before asking people to subscribe

"I used to enjoy reading it..."
I used to enjoy reading it more before, honestly. Lately a lot of the stories kind of feel rushed, like they are finished too quick and don’t go much deeper into things. It’s not terrible or anything, but yeah, a bit disappointing for me.

"I tried to get some help with..."
I tried to get some help with my account and it took forever to get a real response. When they finally replied, it felt like they hadn’t even read what I wrote. They just kept sending the same basic answers that didn’t actually sort anything out. Really frustrating, to be honest. I expected better from New Scientist

"I get that space is interesting..."
I get that space is interesting, but it feels like they keep going back to the same kind of space-related stuff over and over. It would feel more fair to cover a wider mix of topics, especially since there are so many other important things worth learning about too

"Articles feel a bit too shallow now"
I used to really expect a lot more detail from New Scientist, but lately a lot of the articles just feel kinda like quick summaries. The topics are still interesting, for sure, but they barely get into the science before the piece is over. For what it costs, I was hoping for more depth and explanation, not just short overviews.

"Canceling was more awkward than it needed to be"
I tried to cancel my subscription give me a break, it should not be that hard. I had to click around way too much just to find where to do it, then ended up waiting longer than expected. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but it was definitely annoying and way more hassle than it should’ve been.

"Good articles, but the ads are a lot"
I do actually like reading the articles here, but the constant ads popping up, moving things around, shifting the page right when I’m trying to tap or read the next line, and generally getting in the way makes the whole thing feel way more frustrating than it should, even if I’m only stopping by for a quick read.

"Good magazine, really frustrating app"
I like the magazine and want to support it, but the app makes that hard. It freezes on my phone a lot, articles take forever to load, and every now and then it logs me out for no clear reason. I’m not expecting perfection, just a basic app that works reliably when people are paying for the content. At this point, I barely use it because it’s more hassle than it should be.

"Felt stuck reading poorly checked science content"
I kept reading hoping it would get better, but a lot of the science articles felt sloppy and not well fact-checked. After a while, it made me feel kind of trapped, like I was stuck sorting through questionable info instead of actually learning something useful

"Website is frustrating to use"
I had a hard time using the site because the menus didn’t load properly for me. I wasn’t sure if it was just my browser or something wrong with the site, so it would be reassuring to know this is being looked into...

"Felt Trapped by the Billing"
I signed up for New Scientist thinking it would be straightforward, but the whole billing situation turned into a headache. I thought I had cancelled, then I got charged again anyway, which felt really unfair. When I tried to get help, it was slow and confusing, like I was the one stuck chasing answers for something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. It really feels like they make it super easy to start paying but way harder to stop. I won’t be using it again.

"Feels way too biased lately"
I used to read this expecting actual science news, but lately it feels more like opinion pieces dressed up as articles. Some of the bias is so obvious that I’m sitting there thinking, how is this okay? I just want balanced reporting, not someone’s personal take on everything.

"Didn’t feel worth the price"
I usually enjoy keeping up with science news, but umm, this subscription just felt a bit too pricey for what it offered. A lot of the articles seemed short or not much different from what I could find elsewhere. I ended up canceling after a few weeks. It might work for some people, but for me, the value just wasn’t there.

"Print delivery has been unreliable"
I wanted to like getting the print edition, I really did. At first I figured a missed issue here and there wasn’t a big deal, but after it kept happening, nope, I’m over it. It’s just too unreliable and not worth the hassle.
